No A to Z

“We’ll never make it on time now.”

“Trust me, they will wait. They can’t start without us, without YOU, Can they?”

“They’ll just decide not to start at all.”

“Don’t be silly. As soon as we arrive... as soon as YOU arrive, everyone will be so happy, time won’t matter.”

“It’s all your bloody sat-navs fault. This wouldn’t have happened if we’d used the A to Z like I said we should but Oh No. Bloody Tom-Tom will get us there quicker you said.”

“Hey. Cut out the bad language. The vicar won’t appreciate that when you’re taking your vows.”

This post was written in response to the 100 Word Challenge prompt "THE ALPHABET" at Julia's Place. There are other fabulous pieces of work linked there. I recommend that you take a peep and possibly even join in.

  4. A-Zs; I still have one of those (anyone under 30 reading this is going to be scratching their head I'm sure)
This was good and edgy; no mean feat in so few words.

  5. I love the way you used dialogue to tell this story. Wonderful. I was only slightly lost in the fifth paragraph, but I got it in the end!

  6. A to Z, what a good idea.  We still have two in the car, wouldn't be without them!  Polly.
