It seems to be a recurring theme of my life. A quick flick back on my blog finds this entry to Mocha Beanie Mummy's Silent Sunday series.
Go back a little further and you will find two mentions of the Nigel Slater autobiographical novel/TV drama of the same name. Maybe a little obsessive but I genuinely connect with the story within.
For those of you that have missed this then I have good news. As part of World Book Night on 5th March, a million books are being given away by thousands of ordinary (and a few extraordinary) people. Well I have been selected as one of the givers and I will be receiving specially printed copies of the Nigel Slater book to give away.
Each applicant had to say how they would give the books away and one of my reasons was to get those people who spend so much time looking at a computer display back to holding and smelling a book. OK. A bit twee and unoriginal, but it seemed to work.
So if you would like me to send you a copy of the book in time for World Book Night let me know what you favourite toast topping is.
You can leave a comment below (and a way of getting in touch with you). Alternatively you can email me on stromi.booknight@gmail.com
I only have a limited number of books to give away on the blog as I have to give some away locally as well but don't let that put you off.
I'm looking forward to sharing your favourite toppings.
Note: - I am not being paid for this post at all. in fact, postage will come out of my pocket but I would like to encourage more use of books and libraries so I am happy to do this.
